Our Meals on Wheels service is only possible through the help of our volunteers.
Volunteering for Meals on Wheels is an enjoyable activity and we are always looking for more people to join our bank of volunteers.
You can volunteer to join the pool of packers, who portion and pack the meals in the Nicky Alliance Centre on Middleton Road.
Packing is from approximately 9:00am to 10:30am Mondays and Thursdays.
Meet new people or old friends and join in the spirit of camaraderie as the meals are packed.
You can volunteer to join our pool of drivers who deliver the meals to our clients.
Deliveries take place from approximately 10:20am to 12:00pm depending on the length of the round.
The rounds are divided geographically with different rounds covering Crumpsall, Salford, Broughton, Prestwich and Whitefield. We are open to covering other areas if there is the demand and enough drivers
Delivering the meals is very fulfilling as you have the chance to meet and possibly have a chat with clients. You may be one of the few people they see in a week
